[P-06] 45x45mm to 30.5x30.5mm adapter plate

I designed these adapter plates for my last project - high performance MUAV. These can help adapt newer ESC and FPV FCs that have 30.5mm x 30.5mm mounting dimensions to older and cheaper drone frames that have 40mm x 40mm mounting dimensions. The in pic plate (orange) is made of ABS while another one printed using nylon (black) was actually used in the MUAV. The design features weight saving measures in the form of holes cut out of the frame, moreover the edges have been filleted to reduce stress point and spread out the load across the adapter plate.

This project has been field tested. I has survived many test flights and rough landings.

This part adapts a 45 x 45 mm mounting holes (M2.5 screws) to the standard 30.5 x 30.5 mm mounting (M4 dia.). This part has been printed and successfully used in my college's aviation club first quadcopter project. The material used was engineering material / nylon printed off a 3rd party 3D printing service. You can use self-threading M2.5 screws for a smoother experience. But I used regular M2.5 Allen bolts and it took some elbow grease and a lot of time, but it screwed in just fine.
